Creating Community: Women Rising Together

There is something powerful that happens when women come together. Not just to network, not just to exchange business cards but to truly see one another, to hear each other’s stories, and to lift each other up. Community is not built in isolation. It is built in shared experiences, in support, and in the willingness to say, you belong here too.

This April , I’m honored to be part of something bigger than myself. Women on the Rise is partnering with Women of the World Network and Oak & Pine to bring women together for a day of connection, inspiration, and care. The Women of the World Networking Summit on the 25th is not just another event it’s a space created for women to share their voices, find support, and build meaningful relationships. With speakers, activities, and even eldercare and childcare available, we are creating a space where women can fully show up without having to choose between responsibilities and growth.

This work is deeply personal to me. My mother, during World War II in the Philippines, opened her home to women who had lost so much. She helped widowed women learn skills like sewing and beauty work so they could rebuild their lives. She didn’t call it leadership. She didn’t call it entrepreneurship. She simply showed up with care, compassion, and a belief that women deserve the opportunity to rise. That legacy lives in me today. It shapes how I serve, how I lead, and how I create spaces for other women to grow.
